Jarden Strengthens Advisory Capabilities with Appointment of Sam Prentice as a Senior Managing Director

Jarden is pleased to announce that Sam Prentice will join the firm as a senior Managing Director, further strengthening its trans-Tasman strategic advisory capabilities.

With over 30 years’ experience in investment banking, Prentice is one of Australia's leading dealmakers, having advised on many landmark deals over the past decade including Asahi's acquisition of Carlton & United Breweries, CCEP’s takeover of Coca-Cola Amatil and most recently the merger of Chemist Warehouse with Sigma Healthcare.

Prentice joins Jarden from Rothschild & Co, where he has been instrumental in building their Australian franchise over a long and distinguished career, leading coverage of clients across a broad range of sectors including Industrials & Business Services, Consumer, Retail & Healthcare.

He will be based in Melbourne alongside other senior bankers Adam Lennen, Stephen Pickles and Ian Arnold. Chris Bryan is also a senior team member in Melbourne, having joined Jarden in 2024 focusing on serving Melbourne-based institutional clients.

Jarden's recent advisory work includes engagements with ASX 100 and NZX 50 companies including Dyno Nobel, Origin, Stockland, Woolworths, Fonterra and Spark New Zealand. The firm has also led significant capital markets transactions in the last financial year, including debt and equity raises for Fletcher Building, Ryman Healthcare, Auckland International Airport, New Hope, and Summerset Group, among others.
